Upcoming courses at the School of Political Economy

Online
Short course

Enrolments are now open for the next term at the School of Political Economy (SPE) with the subjects An Introduction to Political Economy & Economics and Comparative Economic Systems both starting mid-July. SPE’s nine-week courses function as an excellent way to explore how economies do, could or should function.

SPE was established in 2019 to provide a better way to study economics and to also transcend the high-cost/low-quality problems that have come to afflict tertiary education in Australia and elsewhere. The courses are suited to a wide range of decision makers and opinion shapers in government, business, NGOs and academia. SPE's pluralist and interdisciplinary approach provides an excellent opportunity for those that have not studied economics previously but also provides a remedy for those whose previous education in economics was overly narrow and lacking in real-world and policy relevance.
