With the development of urban economy, the number of tall and supertall buildings is increasing. In order to provide better protection of lives and properties in case of fire, provision of residential sprinkler system should be considered as it is not a mandatory requirement for residential premises in many countries.

Research on response times has received limited attention due to restrictions in data access. This paper addresses this gap through investigating the spatial and temporal dynamics of residential fire incident response times in the Brisbane Statistical Division (BSD), Australia.
