Despite calls for a more pluralistic and inclusive workforce, the construction industry remains male-dominated, thereby limiting its growth potentials. The study examined the effects of workload on family expectations intending to support initiatives on gender equality and equity that will improve working conditions in the industry and eventually increase its performance and competitiveness.

Lean construction: evaluation of waste and carbon footprint in construction project

The purpose of this research was to find causes, impact analysis, and possible mitigation of waste and carbon footprint in the construction project. Results show the causes of waste were dominated by worker factors while the main causes of waste in the design phase were client requests, DED changes and complexity, and design errors.
