Long-term mental health trajectories across multiple exposures to climate disasters in Australia: a population-based cohort study

Climate disasters, such as floods, cyclones, and bushfires, present risks to mental health. This article finds that mental health effects became more severe with successive disasters. It proposes that multiple disaster exposures must be urgently considered in public health, welfare and disaster services.

This Commission conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis of the global prevalence of gambling participation, including any risk gambling, gambling disorder, and problematic gambling in adults and adolescents. It found the harms to health and wellbeing that result from gambling are more substantial than previously understood.
