The dark side of the boom: an analysis of the private rental support service in North and North West Tasmania

Ted Wilson examines the experiences of those using Anglicare's Private Rental Support Service over the six year period between the start of 1998 and the end of 2004. His report highlights the fact that the housing boom has strongly affected the housing market in the north and north-west of Tasmania over this period and that low income earners trying to live in rental properties are increasingly likely to be experiencing significant housing stress.
