Howard Rheingold is a long time observer and commentator on the social dimension of the internet and mobile technology. He is credited with coining the term 'virtual community' and was one of the original members of one of the oldest online communities called 'The Well'. He's sceptical about 'stranger danger' on the internet, and says it's more important to encourage young people to be critical about what they see and read on the internet.
