Description
Pakistan has been under unpopular military rule for the last eight years and has been marked by widespread political and religious violence in the last year. This paper examines Pakistan’s paradoxical role in the war on terror; at once a source of extremism and a key partner of the West in fighting it, as well as the policy implications for Australia.
