This interpretation guide aims to help users understand the Land Use and Carbon Analysis System land-use classifications and to show how each land-use class is determined/inferred from vegetation cover seen in remotely sensed imagery. In particular, it aims to provide transparency and consistency to the process associated with mapping and verifying land-use, as has been recommended under international good practice guidelines.
