Global status report on neurology
Neurological conditions affect over 1 in 3 people worldwide. This report on neurology presents the first comprehensive global assessment of the public health response to neurological disorders under the c on epilepsy and other neurological disorders 2022–31 (IGAP). The report offers recommendations for policymakers, IGAP partners and the global neurology community.
It outlines evidence-informed priority actions that can support countries in addressing the rising burden of neurological conditions through coordinated implementation of the action plan’s strategic objectives. It highlights persistent data gaps, systemic challenges and the urgent need for stronger national commitment particularly in data collection, reporting and inclusive policy development.
The report is anchored by the voices of people with lived experience who shared their unique perspectives, needs and recommendations at global consultations.

- Expand access to neurological care by Universal Health Coverage and health system strengthening.
