Australia's mothers and babies 2001

This report provides national information on the pregnancy and childbirth of mothers and their babies. This report updates the information presented last year, maintaining comparability with previous reports while incorporating improvements, and introduces data from a wider range of sources and information on selected summary measures of perinatal health. Three special chapters look at confinements and births of twins, births from assisted reproductive technology for Australia for 2001, and key data on babies admitted to Neonatal Intensive Care Units in Australia.
