This document presents the results of two surveys: one aimed at managers and librarians of repositories, and one directed at technical staff working on repositories.

General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) raises the standard required of researchers handling personal data. For researchers, it is still essential to be aware of and follow the best practices in their field or discipline. In addition, researchers now need to also identify the appropriate legal basis for data processing.

The 2018-2022 LIBER Strategy, which will steer LIBER’s development over the next five years, will support LIBER libraries in facing coming changes in the European working environment such as the various initiatives in advancing Open Science.
