Dementia Australia supports the right of every person, including those living with dementia, to exercise choice over end-of-life care options, which may include Voluntary Assisted Dying legislation measures.

This guide, co-authored by people impacted by dementia, has been prepared for organisations to engage in meaningful consultation with people living with dementia, their families and carers.

This paper demonstrates the crucial role that Dementia Australia’s 'Dementia-Friendly Communities' program has had in improving dementia knowledge, facilitating inclusivity and reducing stigma and discrimination in the community.

This strategy document has been developed following extensive engagement and consultation with the health and aged care sector - and most importantly with people with the lived experience of dementia. The recommendations in this document are designed to improve the lifestyle, care and health outcomes for all people impacted by dementia.
