This paper aims to encourage discussion on a more connected and smarter future and position Queensland as a leader in smart and innovative infrastructure planning, delivery and utilisation.

Shaping SEQ responds to a need for coordinated regional planning to manage growth sustainably, and ensure prosperity and liveability. It is the Queensland Government’s plan to guide the future of the South East Queensland region, prepared in collaboration with the region’s 12 local governments.

The State Infrastructure Plan (SIP) Parts A and B outline the Queensland infrastructure priorities to grow the economy, create jobs and provide quality services to Queenslanders. It provides a framework to allow government to plan and prioritise infrastructure investment and delivery in a fiscally responsible way.

This public transport strategy for Queensland brings together strategic infrastructure, land use and transport planning at all three levels of government and focuses on the public transport component of passenger transport, including heavy rail, bus, metro and ferry.

To maximise the benefits from its application of BIM to infrastructure projects within its annual capital program, this framework will support the effective use of BIM across Queensland Government infrastructure delivery agencies. A focus of the framework includes BIM capability development across government and industry.
