Governments increasingly recognise the need for greater flexibility in grant schemes to better support local organisations and respond to community needs. The two snapshots are designed to support policymakers and funders in making evidence-informed decisions about flexible funding approaches.

Responding to calls for increased evidence-informed public health and increased impacts from research, the aims of this policy evidence brief are to present the main barriers to research evidence translation and utilisation in public health, and explore strategies that can address these barriers.

This report card looks at the health of adult Australians by socioeconomic status in relation to preventable chronic diseases, the major risk factors for chronic diseases and premature deaths from those diseases and suicide.
