A strategic examination of Australia’s research, development and innovation (RD&I) system, identifying its challenges and opportunities. The report includes 20 recommendations focused on six elements. These intend to improve the capacity of Australia’s RD&I system to support the economy and create a more prosperous, healthier, safer and equitable Australia.

The purpose of this review was to ensure Australian Carbon Credit Units and the carbon crediting framework and regulatory standards maintain a strong and credible reputation supported by participants, purchasers and the broader community.

Retiring Chief Scientist, Professor Ian Chubb, delivered this keynote address at the Australian Financial Review’s Higher Education Summit, and welcomed Dr Alan Finkel as Australia's eighth Chief Scientist.
