The framework outlined in this report can be used to categorise the wide range of initiatives and events currently taking place in Australia under the heading of ‘truth-telling’. It also helps to distinguish what cannot meaningfully be described as truth-telling.

This is the eighth national report on the 21 Better Cardiac Care measures for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. The level of access for cardiac-related health services is improving for First Nations people. While the mortality rate from cardiac conditions is falling among First Nations people, it is still higher than among non-Indigenous Australians.

This report summarises the latest information health outcomes, health system performance and the broader determinants of health for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (First Nations) people, drawing from the Health Performance Framework (HPF) measures.

The Victorian Aboriginal Early Years Health Framework is a holistic strategy aimed at improving the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children in their first 1000 days. This publication establishes and synthesises evidence-based strategies of best practice in health strategies and initiatives for Indigenous peoples, both nationally and internationally.

This publication aims to provide a comprehensive outline of the current health status of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. The early sections present information about the social and cultural context of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, social determinants, the structure of the population, and measures of population health including births, deaths and hospitalisations.
