The authors of this paper argue that the Native Title Act 1993 (Cwlth) should be amended to place less weight on economic and similar considerations when authorising the compulsory acquisition of native title for renewable energy development, or prohibit the compulsory acquisition of native title generally, except for in certain exceptional circumstances.

This research addresses land-based infrastructure funding mechanisms in place in Victoria, Australia and Seoul, South Korea.

This report summarises work undertaken through the Land Use Futures program to adapt the planetary boundaries to the Australian context. It outlines how Australia is tracking against its share of five of the planetary boundaries and considers how the land use sector is both contributing to and affected by environmental limits.
