Presentation

Setting up a formal energy code development process

12 Jan 2016
Description

The Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) is a leading organization globally on building energy codes and standards. PNNL has served as the technical lead for DOE’s Building Energy Codes Program in the U.S. and worked on building energy codes in many countries including Vietnam, India, China, and Russia.

To support Vietnam’s Green Growth Strategy, PNNL is providing targeted technical support under the guidance of USAID Vietnam Mission and U.S. DOE. As a complementary effort to the Vietnam Clean Energy Program, PNNL will provide analysis, technical assistance, and training to facilitate the implementation of the Vietnam Building Energy Efficiency Code (VBEEC).

In this presentation, five keys to setting up a formal process for VBEEC development are identified, they are:

  • Direction;
  • Collaboration;
  • Analysis;
  • Implementation;
  • Tracking;
  • Progress.
