Inside the system: home and respite care clients’ perspectives

Publisher
Australia
Description

The Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety’s terms of reference include inquiring into the quality of aged care services provided to Australians, the extent to which those services meet the needs of the people accessing them, and the extent of substandard care being provided.

This report presents the results of a survey designed to enable older people who receive home care or respite care services, including those living with cognitive decline, to express how they feel about their lives and the care they receive.

The study was undertaken by the National Ageing Research Institute, in partnership with Ipsos and the Social Policy Research Centre of UNSW. The study complements a separate survey that was conducted to seek the views of people in residential aged care, covered in a separate report.
