Description
Western Australia (WA) is experiencing an ongoing housing crisis. To address this crisis, the WA Government committed $24.4 million to develop and implement the WA Rent Relief Program. The program is designed to help Western Australians retain their tenancies when experiencing challenges in the private rental market that potentially lead to homelessness.
This impact evaluation of the program aimed to:
- assess the program’s effectiveness in addressing immediate client needs
- identify long-term improvements in housing stability and financial wellbeing outcomes up to six months post-service support and brokerage payment.
The evaluation report covers the period between November 2023 and November 2024.
