Governments across Australia are facing increasing pressure to deliver fit for purpose infrastructure on time and on budget. This report demonstrates a consensus amongst clients, consultants and contractors in Australia that innovation in infrastructure design and delivery is possible.

Consult Australia calls on all political parties to ensure that the governments they lead, or support, will behave ethically, fairly, and honestly in their dealings with the private sector. That is, for them to adopt a Model Client Policy, in line with governments’ Model Litigant Policy.

This paper looks at the mechanisms in place to plan, prioritise and assess infrastructure development in each of the jurisdictions, including Infrastructure Australia.
