‘Green hydrogen’ is hydrogen which is generated from renewable electricity by electrolysis. ‘Brown hydrogen’ is that which is generated from fossil fuel. In this paper, the author discusses the role that 'green hydrogen' can play in helping New Zealand decrease carbon emissions.
