The Regional Universities Network submission argues that when Government regional development investment is focused in an area with a regional university, the prospect for long term benefit is magnified.

Among a series of recommendations, this report proposes the establishment of a national aged care forum, reporting directly to the Minister for Health and Ageing, to consider current and future challenges to the aged care sector.

The committee received evidence from a variety of organisations and individuals that generally welcomed the Lobbying Code of Conduct. The majority of evidence received included comments of support, which viewed the Code as a significant step towards increasing the level of transparency surrounding lobbying activities.
