Online gaming and gambling in children and adolescents – normalising gambling in cyber places
This review found that gambling and gambling-like products are highly visible, accessible and promoted to young audiences across a range of digital media channels. However, there are gaps in our current understanding of how gaming–gambling crossover activities and promotions influence young people in Australia, and the potential effect on gambling harm.

Social influences on gamblers by risk group: an egocentric social network analysis
This study is the first to consider and directly compare the social networks of non-gamblers and non-problem, low risk, moderate risk and problem gamblers. It highlights the distinct role of social influence, likely through normalisation and social selection, not just of gambling, but also experiencing gambling-related harms.
