This report recommends that the Commonwealth Government examine the structure of sporting organisations in Australia with a view to maximising community involvement, and increasing the accountability and transparency of organisations that bear the custodianship of a sport.

This report is structured to follow the process of raising and resolving an Online Compliance Intervention (OCI) purported debt to understand the challenges faced by debt-letter recipients in resolving the issues.

This inquiry was undertaken to review the current frameworks under which aged care providers recruit, train and retain their workforce, and to anticipate the impact of current and expected changes to the aged care service sector, and the workforce which will be needed to deliver those services in the years to come.

Acknowledging that the NDIS alone will not be able to solve the issues faced by young people in nursing homes, this review makes 12 recommendations including establishing a joint taskforce to ensure the recommendations are put in place.

KEY FINDINGS The evidence before the committee is that income inequality—as gauged by various measures across a range of studies—has increased in Australia since the mid-1980s (see chapter 2).
