This audit examined whether the systems and supports that oversee Victoria’s Child Safe Standards assure school compliance. This audit included the Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority (VRQA) and the Department of Education and Training (DET).

This audit examined whether the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and three audited public health services are effectively managing private practice in public hospitals to optimise outcomes for the health sector and Victorians.

In 2016–17, Victorians generated and managed nearly 12.9 million tonnes of waste. Metropolitan Melbourne accounted for around 80 per cent of this. The Victorian Auditor-General examined how the Department of Health and Human Services (Vic) designs and administers child and youth mental services, and facilitates access and service coordination for the most vulnerable and complex clients.
