This research paper outlines evidence found about interventions to change attitudes towards people with disability. The interventions were aimed at different levels where change may occur - people’s personal perceptions, their interactions with other people, their roles in organisations or the structures in their community and government.

This pilot project focuses on Australian Chinese peer support groups as an entry point to future research which will include diverse cultural groups. Findings of this project contribute to the knowledge about cultural competence in disability support and peer support activities among people with disability and their families from CALD backgrounds.

The National Alliance of Capacity Building Organisations (NACBO) have developed this capacity building model. The model reflects the policy areas outlined by Australia’s National Disability Strategy 2021-2031,

Road to employment is a 3-year Department of Social Services (DSS) funded project run by JFA Purple Orange to address barriers to employment. This interim report is about the project implementation, up until September 2021.

Everyone has the right to make decisions. People with cognitive impairment may need additional support. This project reviewed existing research on supported decision-making and developed a Principles and Guide to best implement supported decision-making.
