This report examines the sorts of technologies that are already being deployed across the workforce, or that are likely to be deployed in the near future. The report takes a broad analysis of the nature and value of work, considers issues in the context of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and offers 25 recommendations.

This report was prepared as part of the New Zealand Law Foundation-funded project: Artificial Intelligence and Law in New Zealand. The overall focus of the report is on the regulatory issues surrounding uses of AI in New Zealand.
