Electric vehicles will play an important role in the transition to net zero. This working paper outlines findings from a recent survey of 2000 Australians, which sought to better understand the barriers and enablers for Australians to switch from vehicles with an internal combustion engine to electric vehicles.

This two-part report offers insights for policy-makers on changing the expectations and experiences of Australian consumers, as well as what market governance might look like when a wellbeing approach is applied.
