The recommendations of the Independent Strategic Review of the Infrastructure Investment Program (IIP) require a commitment to long-term reform in how the IIP is managed, but the benefits, including greater transparency and certainty, will be significant for governments, industry and communities.

An independent panel undertook a review of the Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016. The purpose of the review was to determine whether the policy objectives of the Act remain valid and whether the terms remain appropriate for securing those objectives.

This review report and federal government response is intended to support reinstating Infrastructure Australia's position as the expert advisor to the Commonwealth on nationally significant infrastructure.
