In an age of continuous and concurrent crises, national resilience and preparedness are increasingly crucial for nations such as Australia and the United States. This report argues the Australian government should better leverage the opportunities and mitigate the vulnerabilities of subnational diplomacy (the engagement of state and local actors in foreign policy).
