In 2021, the City of Casey and the City of Greater Dandenong partnered with Victoria University to conduct a place-based project aimed at improving responses to racism in the local community. A follow up to the 2016 study, this report examines the diversity of main characters in 361 scripted Australian TV and online dramas broadcast between 2016 and 2021, how this compares to the Australian population, and what has changed since the previous report.

Using strengths-based inquiry, a desk top review and consultations with stakeholders this study sought to identify actions, practices and approaches to increase access to systems and services for people with disability from culturally and linguistically diverse communities.

This study focused on the perspectives of people from CALD communities in Victoria regarding their mental health service needs, understandings of and experiences with mental health services to prepare an education package for mental health nurses as part of a larger multi-method research project.
