The built environment has an important role to play in supporting human health as part of everyday living. This paper examines what the most effective built environment interventions are that support human health.

This paper examines residents’ experiences and observations on what makes their neighbourhood pleasant and unpleasant for walking in four Auckland localities with contrasting built environment and socio-economic profiles.

Nature strips form an important part of residential streetscapes, yet there is limited understanding of their function, nor an appreciation of the important role that they can play in an aesthetic, environmental or social sense. This paper presents research on the role and potential of local nature strips.
