This report details the community input toward key design elements in supporting the establishment of the Truth-Telling and Healing Inquiry and the First Nations Treaty Institute.

This Commission of Inquiry was prompted by a groundswell of community concern in 2019–20 over child sexual abuse in Tasmanian Government institutions. It followed media reporting of incidents of abuse and inadequacies in the Government’s response to these incidents.

This interim report informs about several public interest immunity claims received by the Senate Economics References Committee in the course of its inquiry into the capacity and capability of the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) to undertake proportionate investigation and regulatory enforcement action arising from reports of alleged misconduct.

This paper reviews the recent analytical work and policy recommendations of ten national productivity commissions, and makes some comparisons with the work of the UK Productivity Commission. The paper finds considerable diversity in the work of the productivity commissions, reflecting differences in mandates, degree of independence and available resources.

This report provides a snapshot of the wide-ranging work that has been undertaken for the 'Breaking Silences: Media and the Child Abuse Royal Commission project'.
