This report highlights the progress being made across the Australian government to implement the recommendations made in the Royal Commission’s final report presented to the Governor-General in December 2017.

This paper seeks the views of organisations providing services or facilities for children and young people, peak associations, regulators, government agencies, and families, children and young people on the implementation and operation of Victoria’s child safe standards and associated regulatory framework. The standards were fully operational on 1 January 2017.

Child exploitation material (CEM) is sexually abusive images of children that are typically disseminated via the internet. This paper reviews recent literature to establish a profile of those who view or collect CEM.

This project sought to understand the impact of this Child-At-Risk (CAR) electronic Medical Record (eMR) alert information sharing system on outcomes for women and children. This included understanding how staff responded to seeing Child-At-Risk alerts on a client’s eMR, the practices that were carried out in response, and the perceived outcomes for clients.

The terms of reference for the Royal Commission of Inquiry into Historical Abuse in State Care and in the Care of Faith-based Institutions have been released by the New Zealand government.
