This report is the first output of a project providing young people, with recent lived experience of the Tasmanian youth justice system, an opportunity to share their views on how this system works and to have those views listened to and taken seriously by the community and government decision-makers.

This report explores the views of 59 Tasmanian children and young people to understand their contemporary experiences of government-run and government-funded services and to use those findings to inform recommendations about how institutions and systems might better prevent and respond to harm.

Improving employment outcomes for young people with disability


Pathways to Employment (P2E) was a small, proof-of-concept trial to test the efficacy of mainstream employment pathway support for young people in the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Despite implementation constraints associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, this evaluation shows that the P2E trial generated encouraging results, as well as highlighting areas for further development.
