This report highlights the progress being made across the Australian government to implement the recommendations made in the Royal Commission’s final report presented to the Governor-General in December 2017.

This paper seeks the views of organisations providing services or facilities for children and young people, peak associations, regulators, government agencies, and families, children and young people on the implementation and operation of Victoria’s child safe standards and associated regulatory framework. The standards were fully operational on 1 January 2017.

This resource is primarily designed to support a holistic understanding of the five elements of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Child Placement Principle (ATSICPP) and promote the processes, strategies and practices required to progress its implementation.

This strategy document provides the framework to improve the lives of children and young Territorians from 0-24 years of age. The integration of services, such as housing, education, youth justice and child protection, are all addressed in the plan.
