Australia's peak body for social services has released its housing and homelessness services election policy priorities. It is calling for an increase to funding for homelessness services and affordable housing.

This study examined the impact of housing and other support services on safety and wellbeing for families experiencing domestic and family violence. The study also reviewed the legislative framework across Australia, together with interviews with key stakeholders and users.

This submission calls for increased funding and actions from the Victorian government to improve access to housing and address homelessness in the state.

Short-term or emergency accommodation is a service provided for the homeless, and those at risk of homelessness. This report explores the circumstances, experiences and housing outcomes of clients in short-term or emergency accommodation who sought assistance from specialist homelessness services between 1 July 2011 and 30 June 2015.

This report has been prepared in response to consumer feedback that highlights the crisis in crisis accommodation in Melbourne’s north and west.
