This paper presents findings from the ABS Quality Study that was undertaken in 2012 to investigate both the feasibility of conducting a national secondary school survey of the living arrangements of students, and also the suitability of such a survey to address limitations in the estimation of youth homelessness, particularly for estimates of ‘couch surfing’.
