It considers the cognitive science evidence for how it is acquired, and what this means for educators trying to develop students' critical thinking capabilities.

The demand driven university system: a mixed report card
This study explores what happened to young Australians during the demand driven system. Overall, the demand driven system succeeded in increasing the number of students and made progress in improving equity of access. However, many are entering university ill-prepared and struggling academically. This study suggests some areas for further policy consideration.

While DASSH supports the principles outlined in the Discussion Paper in general, members suggested that the task of research classification could be more effectively achieved and efficiently undertaken were it to draw on techniques arising from advances in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science.
