This evaluation of the Digital Earth Africa program, which aimed to improve the lives of Africans through access to tailored information for decision making, found the program had made excellent progress against its expected outcomes. A solid foundation had been laid to deliver continued benefits through a reliable high-quality platform and strong local partnerships.

This research largely took a ‘citizen-eye’ view to the question of how authority is understood, and how citizens, especially marginalised groups, make claims, express grievances, seek to have their voices heard and hold authorities to account.

This report considers children’s vulnerability to key climate threats, and how those threats are driving child displacement and migration, in six high-risk settings: low-lying coastal areas, river floodplains, drylands, mountainous areas, cyclone zones and urban areas. It also provides examples of effective governance and responses.
