The SVA Fundamentals have been developed to help organisations in the social sector to assess their effectiveness and guide decisions to increase effectiveness.

US-based, social impact consultant, David Pritchard, who led the development of the new framework, describes why and how the SVA Fundamentals were developed.

The framework has drawn on theoretical, empirical and experiential sources, both locally and internationally. The article explores those three sources and outlines the features that differentiate this framework from others.
