In September 2007 the Northern Territory Government took over responsibility for the delivery of municipal and essential services to Territory outstations starting 1 July 2008. The following report outlines the key outcomes from a series of community engagement meetings

and makes 20 recommendations to the Northern Territory Government. These recommendations are intended to provide early direction to the NTG on the development and implementation of future policy.

The NT Government has set up a website call Working Futures to coordinate the policy changes in this area.
