The objective of the audit was to examine the effectiveness of governance and integrity arrangements for the Northern Australia Infrastructure Facility (NAIF). A key finding from the audit demonstrated that NAIF’s arrangements to support the integrity of decision making were not fully effective. While NAIF has established appropriate governance and policy frameworks, decision support processes were not sufficiently transparent or evidenced to demonstrate projects have been treated in a consistent manner.
