This Ministry of Science and Innovation report illustrates increases to New Zealand’s economic, environmental and social performance by driving science and innovation.
To achieve this objective, we work with a variety of other agencies to create an environment in which strategy, policy and investment align. MSI’s role in innovation is linked to our focus on science, which is about knowledge creation, diffusion and uptake.
Therefore, we support innovation in systems and organisations of all types. But we have a particular focus to drive and support innovation in the business sector because new products and services, and new ways of doing business and accessing markets, are critical for economic growth.
