This document explores the type and frequency of gambling by New Zealand youth. Findings show that about 1 in 3 New Zealand secondary school students have ever bet or gambled and 13% of these students want to cut down their gambling. This is about 1-2 students per classroom or about 44 students in a school of 1000 and is higher in lower decile schools.
