This document provides an overview of the National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (NACCHO) as the national peak body for Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations (ACCHOs).

The document highlights the important work done by ACCHOs in this sector but also gives and overview of the health gap, additional challenges facing regional and remote communities, financial shortfalls and what still needs to be done in order to close the health gap between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and other Australians.
