Description
The Commissioner for Children and Young People has a statutory responsibility to monitor the wellbeing of all children and young people living in Western Australia (WA) and to advocate on their behalf. The Commissioner developed a Wellbeing Monitoring Framework to monitor and report on the wellbeing of WA children and young people.
This report is produced annually and provides a demographic profile of the children and young people (aged 0 to 17 years) in WA. The profile includes a focus on children and young people who experience vulnerability and hardship, such as those in the juvenile justice system, in out-of-home care, with disability and living in poverty.
