Description

In 2032 Queensland will host the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Brisbane and beyond. The 2032 Delivery plan is an infrastructure plan designed to benefit the greatest number of Queenslanders as possible, while delivering a successful Games. It identifies the infrastructure and venues required for the Games including a new sports and entertainment precinct in Brisbane, major sporting venue upgrades, major new public transport connections and investment into road connections. It also includes a 20-year plan for Queensland tourism and aims to deliver lasting benefits for regional Queensland.

Several major transport projects either in planning or delivery phases will be accelerated as part of the plan, including faster rail to the Gold Coast, new stations for Brisbane, as well as critical road upgrades like the Bruce Highway.

The plan sets out the roles and responsibilities for the Queensland Government, the Australian Government and local councils.
