Description

There is growing polarisation in Australian housing markets between those who have attained or will attain home ownership, and those who will spend their housing careers in private rental housing. While this has an obvious equity dimension, it also affects the efficiency of urban and regional housing economies. In the 11th Annual F. Oswald Barnett Oration, Gavin A. Wood, director of the RMIT-NATSEM Research Centre of AHURI, discusses these issues.

Also available: a response to the oration (0) (Word document) by Barbara Norman, Program Director for Environment and Planning, School of Social Sciences, RMIT University.
